LADY DUCKS FUNDRAISERS:
CURRENT FUNDRAISER: See's Candy Sales, ends this weekend!
Late January Fundraiser: Skate-a-thon. Date and details TBA, soon. The Skate-a-thon fundraiser is a great way to raise funds for the District tournaments/Nationals and Spring tournaments for the younger teams.
All parents/players who are in need of financial assistance should be participating in every LD fundraiser. Every $50-100 helps you reach the goals for team and individual expenses for the season!
GIRLS HOCKEY DAY = SUCCESS!! We had 20+ girls attend Girls Hockey Day. 12 of them have since signed up for Initiation or Learn to Play Hockey sessions. Looking forward to their participation as Lady Ducks in the future. We have the numbers to potentially do TWO 10u teams next year!! WOW!
PRACTICE AND GAME PRCEDURES: All Lady Ducks should be dressing in their locker rooms, even if they arrive late for any reason. We have locker attendants and the girls need to bond and organize themselves as a team. Proper LD attire should be worn at all LD practices and games. LD gear/spirit wear is an important part of being a TEAM!! Tournament souvenir sweatshirts, etc.. are acceptable too !!
LESSONS, STREGNTH & CONDITIONING AND CLINIC ATTENDANCE: Contact Coach Caroline if you want to take part in Monday Night conditioning at Westminster ICE. The group works out from 7-8pm. She can be reached at caroline(at)marchanthockey.com

Verbal Commitments: So far, Congrats are in order to Lauren Kilroy who has committed to Mercyhurst; Micayla Catanzariti, who has committed to Penn State who begin their first year Wmen's hockey Program! Way to go Lady Ducks! New Lady Ducks/Sharks 19u player Lexi Romanchuk has also committed to Providence. Allie Hughes has made a verbal commitment to University of Connecticut, UCONN. Fantastic!! ANAHEIM DUCKS MINI 1-ON-1 TOURNAMENT: Calling all youth hockey players! The Anaheim Ducks are looking for the best hockey players in Southern California for the 2nd annual Mini 1-on-1 Tournament. Sunday August 21st is our 2nd annual LD Beach DAY!! We will be going to Corona Del Mar beach and HANGING OUT as one giant Family!! Lastyear was a great success with nearly 30 families and more than 50 playersenjoying the beach and all spending a few hours of theSummer in the SUN andSURF!! More details on this but each manager can ask a parentto make a FOOD SIGN UP list for a team potluck, and hopefully the 8u/10u and12u teams can plan to get to the beach early after theirpractices and gather 2 or 3 fire pits near each other for the DAYS events!!Older players finish practice by noon and will be down soon after.Moreinfo coming in a few days!

some time to improve their individual skills outside of team practices and are
