Both the Lady Ducks 14u and 12u team have won their division and are the reigning Pacific District Champions! Next up- Nationals!
The 14's went 5-0-0 with 32 Goals For and 2 Goals Against! They beat the LA Selects 5 to 1 in the Final Game.
The 12's went 5-0-0 with 37 Goals For and 5 Goals Against! Beating the Alaska Icebreakers 7-2 in the Finals.
The 16's lost in overtime to the Alaska Icebreakers 2-3 in the Semi-Finals.
The 12U and 14U teams will compete against the top teams in the Nation April 1-5  in Rochester, New York.

Leo Fenn has given a donation to the Lady Ducks Organization in memory of April Whang.  April Whang ran the pro shop at Anaheim Ice, she was only 26.She was a freind to the many many people who had the priviledge of knowing her and had a soft spot for the mini Lady Ducks who spent countless hours appreciating all the wares in the pro-shop. She was killed far, far too soon in a car crash in the early hours of February 1st and is deeply missed by the Ladies. Thank you Leo and we love and miss you April.

Wow!  What a weekend!  The 2009 MLK San Jose Sharks Invitational Tournament was a huge success!

And for the second year our 8u team is going strong and participated in the 8u friendship weekend with the San Jose Sharks 8u team. This is where it all begins. Thinking back, we now have players on our 14u team  who started, learned to skate, in our mite in-house development program as much as 5 years ago!! Skills matter, fundamentals are so important and the foundation of Lady Ducks hockey starts with our 2001 and 2002 birth year girls!!  Way to go this weekend.

Can you believe we have 2 12U teams?? Not only that our 12u II team not only showed up, they came to win, taking on teams from Alaska and the Northwest, making it all the way to the SEMI-FINALS !! What an amazing experience for the girls new to travel and girls tournament hockey!!

Team managers, who are often the unsung heroes of our teams, are AMAZING! There were so many other parents and volunteers team moms who help out but, I would like to thank Kara Webster and Renee Catanzariti who compiled an All-Tournament schedule, complete with throat lozenges to organize the Master Club Schedule.  :o)

Parents, Your representation of the club was exceptional. Your support of the players and the goals and activities of each team was great and finally your attendance at the games of ALL LD teams was tremendous.  Please take a moment to pat yourselves on the back for being part of a great weekend and another strong Lady Ducks performance. Your daughters work very hard and it goes without saying that you are a huge part of their success!

Congratulations Lady Ducks 10U team on capturing the Connecticut Polar Bear 10U A Division Championship over the Holidays. The team went a superb 6-0 outscoring their opponents 45-7 during the winning streak.
Also, more kudos go to netminder, Justine Silva of the 12U Lady Ducks. "Teenie" was unbelievable for the 12s going 14 2/3 periods without giving up a goal. The 12s finished with a tough 2-1 OT Semi Final loss in the 12U AA Division, which was a great finish with 20 outstanding teams in the tournament.
